Biographical / Historical
Asa was born to Lucinda and Moses P. Watson of Loudoun County, Virginia, and became a school teacher in early adulthood. During the Civil War he was an editor of the SOUTHERN CONFEDERACY in Atlanta, Georgia, and also a poet. He married Frances Latimer.
