General
This Negative Photostate copy of a ledger contains several different types of records. The first pages are Court of Conscience Record (Proceedings) Book, 1775 - 1793 of St. George's Parish (current day Burke County) and Lower River Districts. Between 1732 - 1758 St. George's Parish was known as the District of Halifax.
The next section of said ledger, beginning in 1794 - 1830, contains an account book of a small store and blacksmith shop (probably located in lower part of Burke County).
Several pages contain family births and deaths, while other pages were used by children for school lessons. Family records related to the Wilder family.
Names, from this Photostat, are transcibed in the Georgia Genealogical Society Quarterly.
