Horace Dart and his brothers, Francis M., Jacob E., and Urbanus, lived in Glynn County, Georgia, and served in a Confederate unit that formed and reformed several times during the Civil War, ending up in the 26th Regt. Ga Vols., Company K and then A. Horace was engaged to Harriet Ashcraft of Coweta County, Georgia; and her brother, Augustus B., served in the 7th Regt GA Vols.
