Scope and Contents

This series contains miscellaneous publications, including posters as well as pamphlets and brochures, produced by the Aging Section of the Department of Human Resources. As might be ascertained by the Section’s name, these publications pertain to subjects of interest to older Georgians such as nursing home care, medicaid and old age benefits. The Section should not be confused with the independent Commission on Aging which has been assigned Record Group 68.

Scope and Contents This series contains a newsletter apparently published irregularly during the period of time the legislature is in session each year, the months of January, February and March. Each bill introduced by the Department of Human Resources or which bears heavily on the future of the Department, such as the general appropriation bill, is listed by subject and its status in the legislative process at the time of publication is indicated. Scope and Contents

This news letter is published every two months and is written as much for the benefit of the elderly as the staff of the Office of Aging. The news letter contains short articles concerning recent legislation, conferences, volunteer programs, etc. relating to problems and their solutions affecting the elderly.
