Scope and Contents
This series consists of two bound volumes and a single unbound statement of cash receipts for the steamships Resaca and Mary Byrd on each trip up the Tennessee River. The volumes and the statement record entries for (1) freight, (2) passage, (3) fuel expenses, (4) salaries, (5) stores, (6) miscellaneous expenses and (7) sundries. Volume 1 of the Mary Byrd also contains Series 5, Transportation Division's Steamship Portage Books, and Series 24, Transportation Division's Steamship Freight and Passage Registers. The single unbound statement, for the Mary Byrd, can be found in the front of Volume 1, Series 21, Bound Transportation Division's Steamship Cabin Registers, also of this sub group.
