Dept. of Family and Children Services - Benefits Payment - County Office Functional Reorganizational
Scope and Contents
Under orders implicit in the federal government's Social Security amendments of 1970, the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services reorganized its county offices so as to separate the personnel engaged in determining eligibility of prospective welfare recipients from those working in a service capacity. Keeping the two functions separate, it was hoped, would improve the efficiency of the Department. This series contains all papers relating to this reorganization, including detailed plans for offices in populous counties, charts, and memos reporting on progress in small counties and recommending additional personnel.
