This series contains records relating to the actions of the county boards of Family and Children Services. The minutes of the boards usually include (1) monthly financial reports, (2) reports of child welfare benefits disbursements for the month, (3) the reading and discussion of various letters from the State office, usually pertaining to administrative matters, and (4) the recording of board actions on personnel matters, travel expenses, etc. Very little detail is included In these minutes, particularly in regard to board discussions. Files accompanying the minutes include, (1) exhibits used in presentations to the boards, (2) requests, and (3) reports, usually pertaining to personnel hearings, discussions of regulations and revisions to same affecting local welfare clients, problems of the local units and expenditures of funds. Often these files are divided into the following categories, (1) minutes, (2) reports - annual, (3) miscellaneous, and, less frequently, (4) county equipment. All subsequent records will be inventoried under R.G. 84.
