This series consists of blotters and registers of warrants received, approved and transmitted to the Treasurer for payment. Blotters are a rough or preliminary draft copy of the registers. Included are executive, legislative and judicial warrants. Data provided for each warrant includes: (1) warrant number, (2) date of approval, (3) date of issuance, (4) in whose favor the warrant was drawn, (5) the amount. Salaries for and names of judicial members are listed individually, whereas the General Assembly is listed only in total figures. The appropriation totals are usually given for each department of government. Data in warrant registers was transferred from Warrant Daybooks (RGSGSERIES 8-1-2).
