These annual reports of telephone and telegraph companies operating in Georgia contain a great amount of detail about the ownership, officials, financial structure and status, and extent of operations. The amount of detail varies somewhat from year to year and from different classes (or sizes) of companies. By far the greater portion of a report breaks down the financial status of the company into in-dept analysis. Also included are names of directors, officers and leading stockholders. Information about the company's operations includes data on numbers of residential and business telephones and rates charged; number of miles of lines in operation; number of employees, their salaries, pensions and other benefits; salaries and other benefits paid to officials and many other similar items.
