Scope and Contents

This series contains various records of public utility companies operating in Georgia from the 1920's until the 1960's. The bulk of the records consist of requests for rate adjustments and territorial expansion of the companies. The records include requests to sell stock, requests to offer increased services, annual reports, complaints against the companies and general correspondence.

Scope and Contents These annual reports of telephone and telegraph companies operating in Georgia contain a great amount of detail about the ownership, officials, financial structure and status, and extent of operations. The amount of detail varies somewhat from year to year and from different classes (or sizes) of companies.
