Scope and Contents
Two volumes consist of records pertaining to the administration of decedents' estates. The first volume, 1755-1771, contains appointments of executors to administer an estate and instructions for the inventory and appraisal of that estate. The second volume, 1771-1775, contains records of appointments and instructions by the governor as well as citations for individuals to appear before the governor, such as creditors seeking payment from an estate. The volumes are indexed.
