This series consists of volumes which contain the minutes of the proceedings and transactions of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia for both regular and special meetings beginning when the Board was organized in 1932. Included are microfilm copies of some of the earlier bound volumes rather than the original typescripts. For these, each fiscal year is indexed separately. All indexes are microfilmed together at the beginning of the microfilm publication and each index is again filmed in its proper sequence preceding the minutes it covers. Beginning in 1968, the bound volumes are included themselves. These later volumes generally include a table of contents plus a subject index. Topics discussed on a broad level include: (1) teacher accreditation, (2) administrative changes in the Central Office, (3) appointments, (4) desegregation, (5) re-election of officers, (6) procedures for selection of a new Chancellor, (7) salaries, (8) retirement, (9) testing, and (10) waivers. Minutes for years 1932 through 1968 are only available on microfilm in the Reference Room.
