This series contains the minutes, statutes and by-laws of the University System Advisory Council, an organization which was created to make recommendations to the Chancellor concerning any and ail educational and administrative matters of interest to the University System. Also included are a few files of minutes of the standing committees of the Council dating from after 1969. Included in a typical minutes file might be: (1) list of attendees (2) agenda (3) correspondence pertaining to such subjects as meeting dates, (4) committee membership lists (5) resolutions concerning such subjects as college entrance tests (6) committee reports including: recruitment of faculty and budgetary matters (a) Records, Testing, Guidance and Standards of Scholarship (b) Education Policy at Junior College Level (c) Academic Committee on Mathematics (d) Professional Personnel (e) Non-Professional Personnel (f) Languages and Literature. During an average year the Advisory Council called three meetings.
