Scope and Contents

The duties of the Georgia Library Commission included dispensing aid and advice to all communities wishing to establish a library and conducting a system of circulating libraries known as traveling libraries. The published reports of the Commission contain the following information in prose form: (1) number of persons supplied with reading matter (2) number of traveling libraries and books in circulation in them (3) number of individual loans of books on special subjects and (4) number of books sent to children in Vacation Reading Clubs.
