Scope and Contents
This series consists of memoranda to and from the Associate Superintendent and Division heads, copies of correspondence prepared for the Associate Superintendent's signature and other material related to specific program areas within the Office of Instructional Services. More specifically, the information contained in these files consists of (1) resignations, (2) organizational meetings, (3) funding for diagnostic centers, (4) problems with certifications of gifted children, (5) conference news on migrant education planning committee agendas and (6) related subjects all pertaining to administering the Office of Instructional Services. The Office of Instructional Services has the responsibility for providing state‑level leadership in planning, administering and evaluating the kindergarten through twelfth grade instructional programs of the public schools of Georgia.
