Scope and Contents
This series consists of copies of correspondence, memorandum, etc., of mailings to local school system superintendents by the Associate Superintendent. Subjects discussed include: (1) Special education enrollment reports for instructional special units, (2) School childrens' visits to the State Capitol during General Assembly sessions, (3) Dual enrollment of private school children, (4) Immunization program participation by McDonald's and Eastern Airline, (5) Children classified as wards of the State, (6) Guidelines for statewide kindergarten programs, and (7) Guidelines for new or continued funding of Related Vocational Instruction (RVL) programs and related topics. These files all relate to administering the Office of Instructional Services which has the responsibility for providing state level leadership in planning, administering and evaluating the kindergarten through twelfth grade instructional programs of the public schools of Georgia.
