This series consists of: (1) proposals (2) budgets (3) amendments (4) reports (5) guidelines (6) correspondence (7) related documents. The above mentioned records are filed on behalf of the psychoeducational center's program under Public Laws 94-142, 89-313 and other federal laws as well as the Adequate Program in Georgia Act (APEG) and other state laws and regulations as they apply.
These documents all relate to administering the psychoeducational center's program and monitoring grants and programs in the 24 centers and fiscal agents serving the severely emotionally disturbed students ages 1 to 18.
It is the responsibility of the Psychoeducational Center Network Unit to allocate, distribute, monitor, approve and review the 24 psychoeducational centers' programs, proposals and budgets. It administers this program in accordance with the State Program Plan for Exceptional Children and all applicable federal and state statutes, rules, regulations and State Board of Education Policies.
