It provides teachers with a framework and aids them in designing, implementing and monitoring programs for the gifted and talented throughout Georgia. The publication has two sections. Section I includes a framework for developing curriculum for gifted and talented students. Also included is a compendium of areas in which gifted and talented students should develop competencies. Section II contains a variety of mini-courses, or units of study, designed for and field tested with gifted and talented students enrolled in special education programs for the gifted and talented within local school systems in Georgia.
