This monthly departmental news bulletin has changed considerably over the years. The earlier issues of which the Archives has only occasional num­bers, contained articles of interest to the office personnel as well as to veterans. Included were personal announcements such as marriages, illnesses and deaths as well as articles taken from newspapers which pertained to veterans's affairs. By the 1970's the format had changed radically. Articles of interest to veterans were copied from newspapers complete with masthead and date, but personal items were virtually non-existent. The earlier numbers had tables of contents, but the more recent do not. Since the average issue consists of only four pages, a table of contents is not an absolute necessity. In September, 1961 the title of this publication was changed from the Monthly Bul­letin to the Veteran's Bulletin. Then in 1971, the title was again changed to Veterans' Bulletin.
