Scope and Contents
This series contains various records pertaining to the Medal of Honor Grove sponsored by the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania and Georgia's participation in this project. Among the records are: (1) photographs of museums and other sites in the grove area, (2) pamphlets and brochures describing the grove and the nationwide project, (3) programs from the dedication ceremonies for the Georgia and various other state areas in the grove, (4) a map of the grove indicating the state areas and the status of each, (5) a copy of the Veterans' Bulletin issue describing the Georgia dedication ceremony, (6) the Governor of Georgia's proclamation for "Medal of Honor Day", (7) copies of the names of Georgia's Medal of Honor recipients complete with descriptions of the valorous deeds which earned them medals and (8) correspondence and memorandums concerning the Georgia Project and dedication ceremonies.
