These records are a consolidation of statistics concerning taxes and taxpayers for use in the comptroller general's office. For each county the following information is given by number of persons: defaulted polls - freedmen, Polls - freedmen, defaulted polls - white, polls - white, professions, blind, deaf, dumb, dentists, auctioneers, photographers and similar artists, children between 6 and 18, children between 6 and 18 under guardians, hands employed between 12 and 65. The following information is given in numbers of: ten pin alleys; billiard, bagatelle or pool tables; public race tracks; acres of land; acres of improved land; acres of wild land. The following information is given in dollars: aggregate value of land; aggregate value of city or town property; number of shares in any National bank in Georgia and their value; solvent debts of all kinds; merchandise; capital invested in shipping and tonnage; stocks and bonds; cotton manufactories; iron works, foundries, etc.; capital investing in mining; value of household and kitchen furniture; Ppantation and mechanical tools above the value of 500 dollars; value of all other property not before enumerated, except crops, provisions etc.; value of wild land; value of improved land; aggregate value of whole property and value after deducting 200 dollars; whole amount of tax on professionals, dentists etc.; amount of poll tax; amount of tax on professions, artists etc.; total amount of taxes; amount of tax receivers commissions.
