This series consists of correspondence, reports, publicity releases, and legal papers relating to planning and promoting the Groveland Lake Development Authority for a lake and recreational area on the Canoochee River in Bulloch, Bryan, and Evans counties, 1966-1974. A number of records were created by the Georgia Southern Area Planning and Development Commission and the Groveland "Action" Committee composed of local citizens which promoted the idea of Groveland Lake from 1966. The correspondence includes contacts with government departments, business firms, and individuals concerning funding, appointments, requests for engineering assistance, mapping, property assessments, and reports.
