This series consists of minute books containing information concerning the International Railroad & Steamship Company of Florida, the Macon & Brunswick Railroad and the New York, Florida and Havanna Construction Company. A random sample of the topics discussed at the meetings of these companies includes incorporation of the various railroads, contracts for the construction thereof, shares of stock to be issued, the establishment of by-laws, resignations and elections of officials of the companies and requests of certain parties to be released from various contracts. The minute book of the International Railroad & Steamship Company of Florida includes a copy of a charter by the State of Florida. The minute volume of the Macon & Brunswick Railroad contains information on the sale of the railroad. The New York, Florida & Havanna Construction Company volume includes a copy of a certificate of incorporation by the State of New Jersey. The volumes have been arranged chronologically by date under their respective railroads which have in turn been arranged in alphabetical order. One should see Series 14, Bound Transportation Division's Railroad Ledgers & Journals, to further research the International Railroad & Steamship Company of Florida.
