These are the subject files of the Division of Design and Engineering of the Department of Transit Systems Development. The Division monitors and reviews the work of the General Engineering Consultant, i.e., Parsons-Brinckerhoff- Tudor-Bechtel, its subcontractors, or technical service contractors, and for architectural design work, surveying, soil testing, and security, safety, and reliability designing. The Division also works with county public works departments, municipalities, utilities and railroads. As MARTA'S development has progressed, the Division's emphasis has changed from design standards to operational review.
