This is the subject file of the Director of the Division of Contracts and Procurement which is responsible for the Authority-wide design, maintenance, and implementation of procedures for purchasing, selection of consultants, centralized contracting, and competitive bidding. The series consists of two types: 1) subject files and 2) reading file copies. The series reflects the Division's functions in the purchase of parts, equipment, and services for transit operations, purchase of office supplies, equipment, and concessions, management and documentation for consulting, demolition and construction, and federally funded procurement. The Division is also responsible for maintaining records of contracts, bidders' lists, vendor directories, and special reports for audit review and reference. The series also includes housekeeping records such as budget and procedure statements.
