This series contains (1) analyses, (2) reports, (3) studies, (4) checklists, (5) charts, (6) worksheets, (7) budgets (8) action plans, (9) bound studies, (10) graphs, (11) schedules, (12) guidelines, (13) surveys, (14) timetables, (15) inquiries, (16) statistics and (17) correspondence relatinq to all areas of responsibility of the Division Director of Transportation, Engineering and Evaluation. More specifically, and this list is not inclusive, these files relate to (1) accidents, (2) the City of Atlanta, (3) bids, (4) bus miles, (5) Atlanta Regional Commission, (6) grants and awards, (7) chartered tours, (8) federal regulations, (9) the elderly and handicapped, (10) energy crisis, (11) equipment and supplies needed, (12) financial forecasts, (13) overview comittees, (14) notor vehicle registrations, (15) operators, (16) overtime, (17) public speeches, (18) passenger volume, (19) school service, (20) sightseeing (21) transit improvement, (22) service costs, (23) strike information, (24) traffic checks, (25) vacations and (26) work assignments. The Division is responsible for scheduling transportation services in the MARTA service area to meet the service commitments of the authority. This includes the schedulinq of regular (1) bus service, (2) rapid rail service, (3) elderly and handicapped service, (4) charter tours, (5) sightseeing tours, (6) contract services and (7) other special services. These other special services include the graphic and reproduction services and the preparation of public timetables. Other duties include the preparation of computer input data to assist in payroll preparations, assisting the Assistant General Manager for Transit Operations in the review of rapid transit system plans, designs and specifications with regard to their operating implications and the preparation of special studies and presentations related to transit operations for the Department of Transit Operations, the MARTA Board of Directors and external agencies which include the Urban Mass Transit Agency (UMTA) and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Overview Committee (MARTOC).
