Dept. of Family and Children Services - Confederate Soldiers' Home - Board of Trustees Minutes
Scope and Contents
These minutes are in two distinct groups: bound volumes and loose papers. The bound volumes are the official minutes of the Board of Trustees. They cover the years shown above. The first volume, 1889-97, includes the minutes of the Board that existed before the Home fell under State jurisdiction. The loose papers are the secretary's rough draft minutes, original reports and correspondence addressed to the Board for the years, 1901 to 1917. The reports and correspondence included herein are of matters taken up by the Board during the meetings, and are frequently transcribed into the bound volumes of official minutes. Other correspondence is found in Series 77 (Letters Received by the Board of Trustees, 1900 to 1917, and Miscellaneous Records, n.d.).
