Franklin County - Superior Court - Grand Jury Presentments
Scope and Contents
The county grand jury, at each term of court, reviews the business affairs of the county's government and makes recommendations concerning certain improvements the county officers could make. Among the more prominent business affairs reviewed by the grand jury are the condition of roads, bridges and public buildings, the financial condition of the county treasury and the books of the various other county officials. Although the time span in which these presentments are grouped is long, the volume of records is not great.
