The case files comprising this series are arranged in both alphabetical and numerical (by case number) sequences. Often, the term of court in which a case is heard is not indicated on the papers of that case. In such cases, the material is filed in chronological order by latest date appearing on the papers. Some of the case files are missing and some terms of court are not represented.

The case files are further arranged by type, either criminal or civil. A large portion of the former involve assault and battery while the latter primarily involve property disputes.
