This series consists of Superintendents' Official Monthly Report form (Form S 24A) which are submitted to the State Department of Education to record the following statistical information for each month school is in session: (1) total number of students on roll, (2) total days attended, (3) Average Daily Attendance (whole members only), (4) total days absent, (5) children transported within 1½ miles, and (6) children transported more than 1½ miles Each of the above categories is further broken down by grade level and by residence within or outside the system. Handicapped and exceptional children tallies are also indicated. Each form bears the name of the system, the signature of the superintendent and the date of the report's submission. Forms covering four month periods indicating enrollment, Average Daily Attendance and transportation figures are sometimes also included. These reports are very important to the individual school systems because it is the Average Daily Attendance (ADA) figures which determine the amount of State financial aid. This series is closely re­lated to the other statistical files in this Sub-Group 22.
