This series contains the local superintendents of schools' annual reports on their respective school plants. The reports are designed to be submitted to the state department on or before July 31 of each year. Although the content varies from year to year, a typical, multi-page report contains or requests information on the following: (1) bonds outstanding; (2) number of school plant maintenance employees; (3) school plant maintenance service done by private companies; (4) school plant insurance on buildings, furniture and equipment, excluding buses; (5) property losses during the year, type of building sustaining loss and claim collected from either private companies or State School Building Authority; (6) statistical data on plants, including: (a) number of acres, (b) square feet of floor space, (c) number of operating personnel, (d) number and kind of publicly owned buildings in use, (e) number of complete new schools put into operation during the year, (f) number of non-publicly owned buildings in use, (g) sanitary sewage disposal, (h) indoor flush toilets, (i) number of publicly owned instruction rooms available by type and condition, (j) number of special service rooms by type, (k) number of publicly owned buildings by date of construction, (l) status of plant use (available at beginning of year, abandoned, completed and available at end of year), (m) type of heating system and air conditioning, and (n) number of library books (7) value of school plant; (8) value of property put into operation during the year
