This series consists of statewide memorandum and letters from the Associate Superintendents of both the Office of Instructional Services and Office of Planning and Development to Local System Superintendents. The material pertains to new, revised and proposed policies and procedures related to areas of responsibility of the Office of Planning and Development. Some of the policies and procedures include Special Education itinerant travel funds: statewide test reports; ideas related to implementation of the State Board Policy on Industrial Media; responsibility for providing services to immoderately retarded school age children; Vocational Rehabilitation/Special Education programs: funds for Guidance Programs; etc. A sample of the areas of responsibility for the Office of Planning and Development includes Adult and Continuing Education, GED, Pupil Personnel and Guidance, Visiting Teachers Services, Career Education, Student Assessment, etc.
