This series consists of the unbound incoming correspondence addressed to the Master of Transportation. Dealing with questions of both passengers and freight, but particularly freight, the letters involve the: (1) logistics of distributing freight cars to shippers, (2) claims for loss, (3) damage or overcharge exceptions, (4) refunds from other railroads, and (5) special ticket rates for excursions, fairs and conventions.

Scope and Contents This series consists of bound cash volumes of first entry kept by the Master of Transportation's Office. Varying in format, they each contain the same information.
