This series consists of bound and unbound records too minuscule in number to include in new and separate series. The records concern the Central Railroad & Banking Company, the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railroad and the North and South Railroad. Included are a copy of a lease, a time table, a checkbook with stubs, an affidavit and several reports on earnings.

This series contains (1) general correspondence, (2) hearing dockets, (3) disposition of applications, (4) records of hearings and (5) related documents. These files relate to different commodities shipped intrastate in Georgia by Class A and Class B carriers and the regulation and the setting of rates thereof.

This series consists of two bound volumes recording the passengers carried on the steamships Resaca and Mary Byrd. The volumes are formatted under the headings "Gentlemen", "Ladies" and 'Way" into (1) type of compartment, (2) passengers' name, (3) embarkation, (4) destination and (5) amount. The volumes lack an index. Volume 1 of the Mary Byrd also contains a cash statement dated April - May, 1870.

This series consists of two bound volumes that record the fuel consumed by the steamships Resaca and Mary Byrd. The information contained records (1) date of purchase, (2) woodyard, (3) cords of wood, (4) bushels of coal, (5) rate, (6) amount and (7) acknowledgement of payment.

Account books of a country store in Putnam County, Georgia, near what is now Rock Eagle Park, citing date, name of account, goods sold, and cost.

Account books recording primarily the sale of merchandise by R.C. Fain of Talladega, Alabama. Many of the accounts are for residents of Meriwether and Troup Counties in Georgia. The 1836-1843 volume includes also 1852 accounts for Fain and Acre Blacksmith shop of Blooming Grove, possibly in Alabama.

Letter from "Camp Foster" in Cartersville, Bartow County, GA, about plans to get up a regiment and draw the officers from among their friends. This was probably the 4th Regiment Georgia Reserves, of which Saxon was elected captain in the next month, May.

Map of the battlefield before the Battle of Fredericksburg, Sat. Dec 13, 1862. Two pencil sketches, one of "Josh," a black soldier holding a rifle at "present arms," and the other, "Sally at the Post Office," of a young white girl.

The collection contains the register sheets of those who gave money for the book's publication, each sheet with the name and sometimes the city and occupation of the patron. This project was apparently carried out by Barr, who corresponded with the state historian about the project.

A description of a boyhood Christmas on John Porter Fort's Coolewahee Plantation in Dougherty Co., GA, written about 70 years later. The writer includes descriptions of activities by both white and black residents and visitors. Workers mentioned are: Brooks, Frances, a cook; Peter, a coachman; Fanny, a washerwoman; and her husband Snap.

These are reference records kept to show the various Tax Rates (in mills) levied by each county and city. Beginning in 1920 each county was required to levy taxes for schools. Consequently, beginning in that year, school tax rates by county are shown.

This series is a record of insolvent taxes by county. The records show the following: (1) date of entry (2) type of insolvent tax (3) folio number and (4) debits and credits entered.

These press releases were issued to inform the public of the many activities in which the Department of Revenue engaged during the time period indicated in the finding aid.

These records consist of entries of delinquent Special Taxes covering such items as follows: pistol and gun dealers: radios; gas pumps; refrigerators; electrical contractors; lunch counters: beauty parlors; barber shops; taxicabs etc. Entries included are as follows: date; name of tax payer; address of tax payer; county; name of Deputy Field Collector; class or type of tax; amount of tax; penalties; and total dollar amount owed.
